COACH SULLY'S FIELD HOCKEY CAMP
Coach Megan Sullivan, AKA: Coach Sully, has been coaching youth field hockey for over 10 years. She founded, coaches, and runs Arlington Field Hockey, the first recreational field hockey league in Arlington, VA. In 2021, Coach Sully took on the role of head field hockey coach at Bishop O'Connell High School. She is a former D1 field hockey player, a USAFH and NFHS certified coach, and a mom to two young players of her own.
The camp will be back in 2024! Coach Sully and her varsity players will be offering instructions on fundamentals, team play, positioning, games, and competitions.

It is a full day Camp and will run from Monday 6/17, Tuesday 6/18, Thursday 6/20, Friday 6/21
NO CAMP ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19th
10A-3:30PM

Arrival and sign-in at 9:30A. Beginners and experienced players will learn or review the fundamentals of field hockey, the importance of positioning, and game strategies. We will play games, fun competitions, and there may or may not be a slip n' slide involved.

OUR PROGRAM
The daily schedule will offer skills and drills, small games, snack and lunch breaks, non-field hockey competitions, and field hockey games.
FRIENDSHIPS
As a team sport, field hockey is a great game to meet and grow lifelong friendships. Â It all starts on the field.
FUNDAMENTALS
Those new to the sport will learn the basics of field hockey. Those with experience will fine tune their skills. Perfecting fundamentals makes every player better.
GAME TECHNIQUES
Field hockey has a lot of rules. Â We will help explain and break down how to be successful in the game. Go over techniques in different game situations.
DEFENSE
No matter your position, everyone should know the basics of defense.
We will cover this for every level, making sure no matter where you are on the field, you can defend your goal.

OFFENSE
Shooting drills and offensive techniques will be taught at every level. Everyone loves to score!
​
ADVANCED SKILLS
As players progress through the week we will introduce the more advanced skills, and fun games to try to grow and expand their level of play.

We will be on the Stadium Field at Bishop O'Connell HS, 6600 Little Falls Road, Arlington, VA 22213
Players will need:
Shinguards
Mouthguard
Sneakers or Turf Shoes
Stick (if you need one, we will provide)
Water Bottle
Lunch & Snacks
Sunscreen
